Overview

Gita Chimalakonda focuses her practice on US patent prosecution and counseling in the biotechnology space. She has extensive knowledge in the areas of molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, genetics, and biochemistry.

Gita prepares and prosecutes patent applications for a variety of biopharmaceutical clients in a wide range of technologies such as vaccines, antibody and protein therapeutics, and gene editing. She also assists with landscape, patentability, and freedom-to-operate analyses.

Prior to joining Wolf Greenfield, Gita was a law graduate at an Am Law 50 law firm and prior to that, she was a patent agent at an Am Law 10 law firm. 

Gita’s doctoral work focused on understanding outer membrane biogenesis in Gram-negative bacteria using genetic and biochemical approaches.
