
Alexandra K. Kim
Overview
Alexandra Kim focuses her practice on patent litigation, including proceedings before the International Trade Commission (ITC), Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and in district court. She utilizes her legal and scientific background when working with clients to achieve their goals.
Alex’s legal experience encompasses researching complex legal issues and writing memorandums including motions and patent opinions. Her broad scientific background includes undergraduate and graduate education in biology.
Prior to joining Wolf Greenfield, Alex was a litigation intern at the Public Health Advocacy Institute, where she assisted with tort and Chapter 93A claims. She was also a legal intern with Weber Shandwick’s Digital Health team, where she provided in-house support relating to privacy law, antitrust law, and FDA and FTC compliance for pharmaceutical marketing.
Prior to law school, Alex was a research assistant at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. At Beth Israel, she researched the connections between diabetes and urological health. She also received a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Tufts University School of Medicine. Her thesis focused on nutritional intake and the interaction of nutrition with infection in deployed, active US soldiers.
While in law school, Alex was a member of the Intellectual Property Society and participated in her school’s clinic, IP CO-LAB. She graduated with a concentration in Intellectual Property and Innovation. Before joining Wolf Greenfield full time, Alex was a summer associate at the firm.

- Metrom v. Humatics (D. Delaware) (2021-present): Defend Humatics involving patents related to trains and worker protection
