City Year: MLK Day of Service

City Year Boston will honor the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. with an in-person event. The day will begin with service projects designed to beautify and provide resources for the Mildred Avenue K-8 School in Boston. Service projects will include beautification projects such as murals and painting, along with creating resource kits and items for students and teachers. Volunteers will then gather for a panel discussion exploring the importance of addressing educational disparities for historically oppressed communities and include time for reflection on Dr. King’s legacy, and further information about City Year’s work.
