Working together. Diversity & Inclusion
Diversity and inclusion are integral parts of our culture and are critical components of our firm goals of innovation, teamwork, and providing our clients with optimal service.
Inclusive intellectual property.
We understand that we have a professional obligation to promote equal access to opportunity and to justice, and this obligation begins here at Wolf Greenfield, where we promote a collegial and familial atmosphere, set diverse hiring and retention goals, and mentor new team members.
The Wolf Greenfield team that I interact with is more than 50% female, which is not common in patent prep and prosecution, and it has been refreshing to have this added level of diversity. The collaboration between team members to provide counsel, and the team’s willingness to dig into the technology with scientists, has been top tier.
Diversity Fellowship Program
Wolf Greenfield is committed to recruiting and retaining future attorneys who will contribute to the diversity of our firm and the field of intellectual property law. Our Diversity Fellowship Program is designed to give students pursuing a career in intellectual property law a realistic sense of what it is like to practice at Wolf Greenfield.
The Wolf Greenfield Diversity Fellowship Program is a paid summer intern or co-op position at the firm, running 10 weeks from mid-May through July.
Furthering its unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion, Wolf Greenfield introduced its Diversity & Inclusion Billable Hours Program, which allows associates, counsel, and technology specialists to earn up to 100 qualifying diversity hours that will count towards their annual billable hours requirement.
Rob Walat, President and Managing Partner, made a pledge with the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity (LCLD) about his personal commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as Wolf Greenfield’s organizational commitment to DEI.
An article authored by Christina Licursi, Shareholder and Executive Committee Member, titled “Creating a Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive Law Firm: One Firm’s Reckoning Post-Pandemic” was published in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. In this article, Christina addresses what individuals and organizations can do to move forward and effect change.
Wolf Greenfield is a Certified Midsize Mansfield Plus law firm through Diversity Lab, demonstrating the firm's unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
As a member, Wolf Greenfield supports FADIPL’s programs and recruits from its scholars program for our Diversity Fellowship Program.
Wolf Greenfield sponsors The eForum’s Black, Indigenous & People of Color (BIPOC) Program. Employees serve as educators and mentors throughout the program.
Wolf Greenfield is a member of LCLD to work to build a more open and diverse legal profession through leadership development programs. Each year attorneys participate as diversity fellows and diversity pathfinders.
