We are pleased to announce that Gregory Corbett has been appointed as the new chair of the Litigation Practice. Corbett is a shareholder in the Boston office, and he will oversee and lead the strategic direction of the Litigation Practice for the firm.
“Greg is an outstanding first-chair litigator with exceptional leadership qualities and vision,” said Wolf Greenfield President and Managing Partner, Tim Oyer. “The continued strategic growth of the Litigation Practice is very exciting and is a testament to the extraordinary client service we offer.”Corbett is a first-chair litigator with nearly 20 years of experience in all stages of complex intellectual property and patent litigation, post-grant proceedings, appellate matters, licensing, and client counseling. He has represented significant clients in a wide range of technologies, including Sony, Google, Verizon Wireless, Segway, Samsung, Infineon Technologies, IBM, Straumann, BTG, GlaxoSmithKline and B. Braun Medical. His practice focuses on electronics, computer systems, semiconductors and internet technology, with extensive experience involving chemical products and processes, pharmaceuticals, biotech, and medical device matters.
Prior to joining Wolf Greenfield, Corbett was a partner in the Washington, DC office of Kirkland & Ellis, and a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Arthur J. Gajarsa at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Honorable Edward F. Harrington at the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He earned his A.B. from Harvard University and his J.D. from Boston College Law School.
He succeeds Michael Albert, who served as chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice for nearly 15 years. “We are grateful for Michael’s years of strong leadership building the capabilities and success of our Litigation Practice,” said Oyer.
