Wolf Greenfield Announces Second New York Expansion
Wolf Greenfield has announced its second New York expansion in just over three years, with an office move to 605 Third Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.
Since first opening its doors in New York City in September 2016, Wolf Greenfield’s office has more than doubled in size through recruitment of lateral talent. Shareholders from the firm’s main office in Boston also spend significant time in New York.
“The strategic growth of our New York office has enhanced the service we provide to clients doing business in this market,” said President and Managing Partner Tim Oyer. “During a time when the majority of the largest IP boutiques in the US have seen their headcounts drop, the firm’s substantial growth demonstrates the continued momentum of our business.”
The New York office offers a full range of intellectual property services, including litigation, prosecution, post-grant proceedings, freedom to operate, licensing and diligence across all areas of technology.
“We are proud to be entrenched in New York City’s vibrant culture with innovative businesses, top-tier universities and a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said Shareholder Michael Rader, who heads the firm’s New York office. “Our firm is known for its deep technical experience, and the members of our New York office demonstrate that every day while helping clients protect their most valuable intellectual property.”
Wolf Greenfield is among the top 10 largest law firms in the country devoted exclusively to intellectual property law. More than 90% of the firm’s practitioners have science or engineering degrees and more than two-thirds hold advanced degrees (MS, PhD or MD).
