Scott McKeown Quoted by Managing IP on USPTO Acting Director

Scott McKeown was quoted by Managing Intellectual Property in an article titled “Former Colleagues Weigh in on New USPTO Deputy.” In this article, Scott notes that he expects the Senate to appoint a director in late 2025 or early 2026. “Until such time, I don’t know that we will see any significant policy shift or rule-making initiatives. I expect the USPTO will simply stay the course until a political appointee can take the reins,” said Scott. Read more (subscription required).
