Wolf Greenfield Named Top Trademark Law Firm by World Trademark Review in 2022
Wolf Greenfield has been ranked as one of only two law firms in the gold category in Massachusetts and attorneys received national individual recognition in the World Trademark Review 1000 – The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals 2022. Wolf Greenfield has been included in the WTR 1000 each year since the list’s inception 12 years ago.
“Wolf Greenfield’s trademark service is specifically designed to meet the needs of a high-level client base for which IP is pivotal. The nearly century-old boutique – one of the country’s best – establishes long-term relationships built on trust, partnering closely with rights holders to help them better communicate key brand messages to the marketplace while leveraging their intangible assets in new and lucrative ways,” noted WTR.
Four attorneys were honored for individual achievement:
- Doug Wolf, Trademark & Copyright Practice Chair, earned silver honors in the national prosecution and strategy category. He also earned gold honors in the Massachusetts prosecution and strategy category and silver honors in the Massachusetts enforcement and litigation category. "Doug is hailed as an extremely proactive, thorough, experienced, and personable lawyer with an ultra-sharp trademark mind,” remarked an interviewee.
- Christina Licursi, shareholder in the Trademark & Copyright Practice, earned bronze honors in the Massachusetts prosecution and strategy category and silver honors in the Massachusetts enforcement and litigation category. “Christina understands where the risks lie and what can be done to mitigate them, making her an essential adviser to business leaders,” remarked an interviewee.

- John Welch, counsel in the Trademark & Copyright Practice, earned silver honors in the national enforcement and litigation category. Noted for his “astute approach to TTAB proceedings,” he also earned gold honors in both the Massachusetts prosecution and strategy category and the Massachusetts enforcement and litigation category. “John is someone you can trust with any trademark issue – he’s the number one guy in Massachusetts. As well as being extremely intelligent, he also happens to be one of the nicest guys in the world,” remarked an interviewee.
