Thomas Foley
Overview
Tom Foley represents clients in post-grant proceedings, including inter partes reviews and reexaminations, before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Tom’s post-grant experience includes technologies such as pharmaceutical candidates and drug delivery devices. He also represents clients of all sizes in intellectual property disputes in the US district courts and in federal circuit appeals. Tom’s district court experience includes patent litigations involving software, analytical instruments, battery materials, lighting fixtures, and consumer products.
Tom also has experience working with clients to obtain patent protection for a range of technologies including analytical instruments, medical devices, surgical instruments, and chemical compounds in the United States and internationally.
Prior to joining Wolf Greenfield, Tom was an associate at an Am Law 200 law firm. While in law school, Tom was a judicial extern for the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts, a member of his law school’s moot court board, and president of the law school’s Environmental & Energy Law Society.
