Katherine M. Kerr
Overview
Kathy Kerr joined the firm in 1999 and has supervised the paralegals since 2001.The practice and client administrators joined her group in 2018 and the IP Services group in 2021.
In her position as Chief Legal Services Officer, she is responsible for staffing, development, production, utilization, and performance of the firm’s legal support services including the international filing department, library, patent paralegals, litigation paralegals, trademark paralegals, annuities, docketing, conflicts, client engagement, client disengagement, file transfer and eWorkflow services as well as the practice and client administrators.
Kathy has developed, documented, and monitored standard procedures and policies relating to the above areas of IP to ensure compliance with current legal requirements and best practices. She provides practice-related leadership and direction to the legal support services groups. Kathy also oversees related policy, planning, budget, vendor, and other resource related initiatives to ensure smooth, economical, efficient, and effective functioning.
Kathy works closely with the firm’s executive leadership, management, and practice groups to support the firm’s IP practice.
Prior to joining Wolf Greenfield, Kathy worked at a patent law firm in Munich, Germany.
Kathy is a member of the firm’s Risk Management, PTO Practice, International Practice, and Docket Committees.
