Laura Rogers focuses her practice on US and foreign patent prosecution and opinion work including freedom to operate analyses as well as infringement and invalidity opinions. Laura counsels clients of all sizes in the areas of medical devices and diagnostics, materials chemistry, organic chemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, polymers, filter media, energy storage devices and uses of electrochemical cells, environmental technologies including carbon emissions mitigation, oil and gas, and metallurgical compositions.

Prior to joining Wolf Greenfield, Laura was a senior associate at WilmerHale, where she focused on pharmaceutical patent prosecution in the US and foreign countries. She counseled clients on topics including patent infringement of utility and design patents as well as the interaction between the patent system and marketing approval of drug products. In addition to client counseling, Laura has also assisted with IP litigations, representing the originator in multiple BPCIA litigations. She also has experience with inter partes review proceedings.

Before her legal career, Laura was a research assistant at the Northwestern University Chemistry Department, where she researched the development of an inorganic Co(III) Schiff base complex as a potential cancer therapeutic.
