Ed Russavage will speak on a panel titled “Patent Prosecution & Examination in the Age of AI”. This panel will explore the use of AI tools and platforms by patent practitioners and the USPTO, specifically the use of such tools by patent examiners. The panel will focus on:- Safely, effectively and ethically integrate AI tools into daily patent practice while complying with USPTO guidelines and ethical standards;
- How the USPTO is currently using AI and how we can expect the USPTO to leverage AI moving forward; and
- How leveraging AI to focus on core inventive concepts from the start can streamline prosecution, enhance collaboration between applicants and examiners, and ultimately reduce the time and cost of securing patents.
