Accomplished ITC Litigator Karthik Ravishankar Joins Wolf Greenfield’s Washington, DC Office
Wolf Greenfield is pleased to announce that Karthik Ravishankar has joined the firm as a shareholder in its Litigation Practice. Karthik will be based in the firm’s Washington, DC office.
Karthik focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation at the US International Trade Commission (ITC). He has managed more than 30 ITC investigations and taken over a dozen matters to trial at the ITC. He has represented clients in the ITC, district court, and arbitration across a wide range of technologies, including cellular devices, mobile payments, data encryption, spray guns, non-invasive body-contouring, pharmaceuticals, construction equipment, and AI dashcams. His practice also includes advising on and litigating global FRAND issues and IP-adjacent antitrust matters.
“Karthik is a seasoned trial lawyer with a record of taking ITC investigations from discovery through hearing, and our clients will benefit from that experience as he joins our renowned ITC Practice,” said Rob Walat, Wolf Greenfield’s President and Managing Partner. “His arrival strengthens our Litigation Practice and our Washington, DC office, and he fits well with the collaborative, technically grounded culture of our firm.”
Karthik is recognized nationally by The Legal 500 US for Patents: Litigation (International Trade Commission). He most recently practiced as a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
“Karthik is a thoughtful litigator with a practical approach to strategy, and he will be a great colleague,” said Greg Corbett, Leader of Wolf Greenfield’s Litigation Practice. “Disputes today rarely stay in one forum, and clients benefit when their lawyers think about the whole case from the start. His perspective will be valuable to our teams and to the clients we serve.”
“The ITC is a distinct forum with a demanding schedule and remedies that can reshape a client’s business,” said Libbie DiMarco, Head of Wolf Greenfield’s ITC Practice. “Clients want counsel who are comfortable in that setting from day one, and Karthik is. His arrival gives clients with ITC matters another experienced voice in the room.”
Karthik earned his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and his BS in Business Administration and BA in Economics from the University of Southern California. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland. Karthik also served as a law clerk to the Honorable John F. Anderson of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
“I look forward to working with my new colleagues at Wolf Greenfield,” said Karthik. “The firm’s existing ITC experience, paired with its technical depth and excellent reputation in a wide variety of fields, makes it a natural home for my practice.”
