Heather DiPietrantonio Finalist for Patent Prosecutor of the Year at LSPN Awards USA 2026
Heather DiPietrantonio, a shareholder in Wolf Greenfield’s Biotechnology Practice, has been selected as a finalist in the Patent Prosecutor of the Year category at the LSPN Awards USA 2026. These awards recognize excellence, innovation, and leadership in life sciences intellectual property.
Heather brings a PhD in genetics and more than 15 years of patent experience to her representation of life sciences clients—advising them not just on the law, but on the science underlying their most important IP decisions. Her recognition by LSPN underscores her standing as a trusted advisor in the life sciences IP community.
Heather counsels clients on patent portfolio management and strategic development across the full business lifecycle, from early-stage start-ups securing their first funding to established research institutions commercializing breakthrough science. She surveys competitive patent landscapes, renders opinions on freedom to operate, non-infringement, and patent invalidity, and conducts IP due diligence for venture capital investment and corporate business development.
At the core of Heather’s practice is a commitment to true partnership. She serves as an extension of each client’s team, combining her scientific background, legal experience, and business acumen to develop and execute IP strategies that don't just protect assets—they actively advance her clients’ broader goals.
A Consistent Pattern of Industry Recognition
This latest recognition builds on a strong record of peer and industry acclaim. Heather is repeatedly ranked by The Legal 500, IAM Patent 1000, LMG Life Sciences, The Best Lawyers in America®, and Super Lawyers as a leading practitioner in intellectual property law. Most recently, she took home the Patent Strategy Attorney of the Year–Massachusetts award at the LMG Life Sciences Americas Awards in 2025, having also been a finalist in 2023.
The LSPN Awards are judged by an independent panel. Winners will be announced on April 30, 2026, following the second day of the LSPN North America Spring 2026 conference in Boston.
