Oona Johnstone Finalist for Inspiring Woman of the Year at LSPN Awards USA 2026

Oona Johnstone, chair of Wolf Greenfield’s Prosecution & Counseling Department, has been selected as a finalist in the Inspiring Woman of the Year category at the LSPN Awards USA 2026. These awards recognize excellence, innovation, and leadership in life sciences intellectual property.

Oona works closely with life science clients, taking a creative approach to helping them develop intellectual property strategies that are catered to their specific business needs. Her practice includes US and foreign patent prosecution, IP due diligence, freedom-to-operate (FTO) and patent landscape analysis, IP transactions, and client counseling related to post-grant proceedings—including inter partes review (IPR)—in the areas of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and cleantech.

Corporate clients ranging from start-ups to large multinational companies, financial institutions including private equity and venture capital firms, non-profit organizations, and universities regularly seek Oona’s counsel.

Her experience spans a wide range of technologies including synthetic biology, biologics such as antibodies and engineered recombinant proteins, gene editing, gene therapy, neuroscience, nucleic acid-based therapeutics, foodtech, agtech, transgenics, vaccines, and immune-modulating agents.
