Overview
Dan Brutti focuses his practice on patent and trade secret litigation. Dan has experience in all phases of litigation, from pre-suit analysis through discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal. Dan also maintains an active pro bono practice.
Prior to joining Wolf Greenfield, Dan worked for an Am Law 200 firm. Dan also previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable George A. O’Toole, Jr. of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Before law school, Dan worked at a major financial institution and as a high school Latin teacher.
Experience
- As defendant’s counsel and primary brief writer, successfully defeated plaintiff’s motion for a preliminary injunction in a patent infringement case involving DNA methylation technology
- Wrote amicus briefs in support of petitions for rehearing en banc before the Federal Circuit and for certiorari before the United States Supreme Court
- Trial counsel for global software company in multi-billion dollar state court trade secret case
- Plaintiff’s counsel in various Hatch-Waxman and BPCIA matters
