Overview

Mark Consilvio focuses his practice on patent and trade secret litigation and IP strategy. He represents multinational clients in litigations before the International Trade Commission (ITC) and US district and appellate courts, as well as representing patent owners and petitioners in inter partes reviews (IPRs) before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). 

Mark represents clients in a wide range of technologies, including optical scanning, LEDs, wearable health monitoring devices, automotive sensing systems, wireless charging and networks, gaming systems, hydropower, neurostimulation, cell printing, small molecule pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications. 

Mark is experienced in multiple phases of litigation, including discovery management, brief drafting, fact and expert depositions (first chair), expert reports, cross-examination, and oral argument. He is also experienced in advising clients with analyses and opinions, including IP due diligence, freedom-to-operate, non-infringement, and invalidity.  

Prior to joining Wolf Greenfield, Mark practiced at two Am Law 100 firms and an intellectual property firm.  

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mark served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Peter J. Messitte. He also served as a US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) patent examiner for nearly a decade, where he examined utility applications related to optical systems and optical elements, including linear and nonlinear optics/photonics, microscopy, photolithography, lighting and display technologies, and optical communications.
