Wolf Greenfield Continues to Set Standard in Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) Associates Fund Drive
Wolf Greenfield is proud to announce the completion of another successful fundraising campaign for the Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) Associates Fund Drive. Each year, Wolf Greenfield employees, along with associates at over 45 other Boston-area law firms, raise funds to support the work of GBLS on behalf of domestic violence survivors. In total, the drive raised over $630,000 for GBLS this year.
Wolf Greenfield itself raised more than $150,000, setting a new record for the firm. This amount includes donations from every associate, counsel, patent agent, and technology specialist in Wolf Greenfield’s Boston office, with the firm’s shareholders providing matching funds. Wolf Greenfield was awarded the Jack Ward Cup for the 12th year in a row as the highest fundraising firm in the Drive. This year, Wolf Greenfield’s effort was led by associates Phil Hamzik, Harrison Shecter, and Charlotte Stewart-Sloan.
The Drive benefits the GBLS Family Law Unit, which provides free civil legal aid to low-income survivors of domestic violence to restore them and their children to an economically sustainable life free of abuse. The GBLS Family Law Unit also addresses broader legal and public policy issues that perpetuate domestic violence and obstruct the road toward physical and emotional well-being and economic independence for people who have experienced domestic violence.
“We’re immensely proud of the tireless commitment of our team in supporting this drive each year. GBLS’s work is life-changing for survivors of domestic violence. This drive gives us a chance to help,” said Wolf Greenfield shareholder Mike Rader, who helped lead the firm’s shareholder matching efforts.
The Drive is a grassroots fundraising effort, having been created and commenced by associates themselves in the 1990s. The money raised directly impacts the ability of GBLS attorneys to serve low-income domestic violence survivors.
