Overview
Jas Lee works with clients on IP strategy development and execution, including IP portfolio management, US and foreign patent prosecution, non-infringement and invalidity opinions, IP agreements, and due diligence. She counsels a wide range of clients—from start-ups, academic institutions, and venture capital firms to multinational corporations across multiple divisions and technology areas—on US and international patent issues.
Jas has deep technical experience in the areas most critical to energy, materials, and industrial chemistry clients, including electrochemical devices (lithium batteries), formulation chemistry, materials chemistry, cleantech technologies, nanotechnology, microfabrication, and organic chemistry.
Jas works with clients at every stage to develop and execute IP strategies that align with their business objectives, from building and managing large global portfolios to evaluating and positioning IP through acquisitions, financings, and competitive landscapes. She has served as a judge for the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition for several years and has been a guest lecturer in an entrepreneurship course at Harvard.
Jas performed her doctoral work under the supervision of Professor George Whitesides at Harvard University. Her thesis focused on the design, fabrication, and testing of integrated microfluidic systems for chemical and biochemical assays using soft-lithography, with additional research on solvent interactions with polymer surfaces and self-assembling systems in fluids.
Jas serves as Chair of Wolf Greenfield's Diversity Committee.
