Wolf Greenfield is proud to announce the completion of another successful fundraising campaign for the Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) Associates Fund Drive. Working alongside more than 45 Boston-area law firms, the Wolf Greenfield team continued to rally support for GBLS’s mission, which provides vital, free legal aid to low-income families and survivors of domestic violence. Collectively, the Drive raised over $750,000 for GBLS this year.
Wolf Greenfield set a new personal record this year by raising over $156,000. This accomplishment was made possible thanks to contributions from every associate, patent agent, and technology specialist in the Boston office, with many counsel and shareholders donating generously. For the 13th year in a row, Wolf Greenfield was awarded the Jack Ward Cup as the highest fundraising firm in the Drive.
This year’s internal fundraising efforts were co-captained by Charlotte Stewart-Sloan and Harrison Shecter, while Phil Hamzik served as co-chair of the wider Associates Fund Drive, helping to ensure the Drive’s overall success. Shareholder engagement was spearheaded by Mike Rader and Stuart Duncan Smith, who oversaw the coordination of the Wolf Greenfield shareholder matching contributions, amplifying the collective impact.
All funds raised from the campaign will directly support the GBLS Family Law Unit, which provides free civil legal aid to low-income survivors of domestic violence to restore them and their children to an economically sustainable life free of abuse. The GBLS Family Law Unit also addresses broader legal and public policy issues that perpetuate domestic violence and obstruct the road toward physical and emotional well-being and economic independence for people who have experienced domestic violence.
“Each year, we take great pride in the dedication and effort our team members give to this campaign, yet we are even more deeply humbled by the vital work happening within GBLS. We’re grateful for the chance to contribute to this life-saving organization, ” said Mike Rader.
The Drive is a grassroots fundraising effort, having been created and commenced by associates themselves in the 1990s. The money raised directly impacts the ability of GBLS attorneys to serve low-income domestic violence survivors.
